I finally got fed up with Windows 10 enough to give Linux a try again. I have tried it in the past, usually a flavor called Mandrake Linux, but it always seemed more complex than I could handle. Not to mention I have been a Windows user since 3.1 (yes, I’m an old fart, get over it). But with the troubles I’ve been having with Windows and the prohibitive cost of Apple, I decided to take the dive once again into Linux with a disro called Ubuntu Studio. According to the literature, it’s an official flavor of Ubuntu Linux that is tweaked for audio and video creators.
We’ll see how the switch goes in the next few shows, and I’ll try to keep everyone posted on the good and the bad of the new OS.
